Getting all set for lambing. Barn is clean, lambing jugs ready, and sheep sheared. This weekend we will be giving everyone their yearly CDT shot and checking feet. We had a ram lamb escape in November and get in with our ewes and ewe lambs that were not being bred this year. He was only in with the girls at most an hour, but I see he was quite productive with his time. I think I’m up to 5 ewes that weren’t planned to lamb this season bagging up and clearly showing signs of pregnancy. So we’ve been blessed with a third breeding group it appears. Good news is I know exactly when these girls will lamb which is pretty nice. Going to be a busy couple days for sure. I’m expecting our first lambs to arrive the last weekend in March. Will post pictures as they arrive.
